I, Sonia, met Dr. Francis, the brain behind the HaSMaR concept, in 2012. He was among the very few people who knew about our marriage. He soon became our youth and young adult pastor, and from that moment, we had several marriage-focused conversations with him until and even after our wedding. He is now a great family friend to us. He has offered a lot of sound spiritual support to our marriage and family. Lois! Besides being my brother-in-law and one of our pastors in the family, Dr. Francis has been very instrumental in my life and our marriage relationship from the very beginning. David! He devoted quality time to take us through a very rigorous premarital education process. I would not call that premarital counseling. It was not just giving us wise advice, it was similar to a vocational college course that we were enrolled in. We are glad we listened to what he taught us. He incorporated prayers in every session that we had with him. His approach to educating, coaching, mentoring, and counseling is next to none that we are aware of. We pray and know that HaSMaR programs have come as a solution for many individuals and couples.

Eventually, he approved of it and provided us with the wisdom that we needed to build an honorable and sustainable marriage.
